Township of Oro-Medonte reminding residents of alternative payment methods due to Canada Post strike and information regarding Notice of Public Hearings

Due to the current Canada Post strike, please note disruption to mail service is likely. Please see How to Pay Your Tax & Utility Bills | Township of Oro-Medonte to enroll in the Township’s pre-authorized payment program, information regarding  property tax and water payment due dates, and for details regarding payment options for tax and water bills including:

  • Pre-authorized payment plans
  • Online banking or telephone banking
  • At financial institutions 
  • By credit card
  • In-person or drop-box 
  • paysimply.ca (note: in-person at a post office using cash or debit currently not available due to Canada Post strike)

Please contact the Finance department at 705-487-2171 to determine the balance on your account.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payment options are also available for vendors. If you are expecting a mailed cheque from the Township, please contact us to make arrangements for EFT payments. The Township is unable to make exceptions for late payments sent by mail.

​The Township of Oro-Medonte's ​​Strategic Plan defines our vision, priorities and ultimately our culture.

This plan builds upon the work of previous Councils, our 2015-2018 Strategic Plan, the Service Delivery Review (2021) and the Planning & Development Process Review (2020). Based on feedback received from the community, staff, and members of Council, this plan will focus our efforts and guide ou​r decision-making for the remainder of this term and provides a foundation for future​ Councils to move forward.

2024-2027 Strategic Plan

​Council is in the process of developing a Strategic Plan that will shape Township decision-making, resource allocation, and business planning for the next four years (2024-2027). Please note there will be further opportunities to provide input in the fall (October 2023 timeframe).
