Township of Oro-Medonte reminding residents of alternative payment methods due to Canada Post strike and information regarding Notice of Public Hearings

Due to the current Canada Post strike, please note disruption to mail service is likely. Please see How to Pay Your Tax & Utility Bills | Township of Oro-Medonte to enroll in the Township’s pre-authorized payment program, information regarding  property tax and water payment due dates, and for details regarding payment options for tax and water bills including:

  • Pre-authorized payment plans
  • Online banking or telephone banking
  • At financial institutions 
  • By credit card
  • In-person or drop-box 
  • paysimply.ca (note: in-person at a post office using cash or debit currently not available due to Canada Post strike)

Please contact the Finance department at 705-487-2171 to determine the balance on your account.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payment options are also available for vendors. If you are expecting a mailed cheque from the Township, please contact us to make arrangements for EFT payments. The Township is unable to make exceptions for late payments sent by mail.

How to Pay Your Tax & Utility Bills

Bayview Memorial Park

​Bayview Memorial Park is a local hotspot that provides both resident and non-residents a place to walk the beach, swim, picnic, and relax in a peaceful ​shaded environment.

Park Amenities Include:​

  • Accessible playground, picnic tables, and memorial benches throughout the park
  • Beautiful gardens maintained by our Horticultural Society Volunteers; learn more about Oro-Medonte's Horticultural Society Volunteers on their Facebook Page​
  • Accessible change room/washroom building; open 7:00AM to 7:00PM from Victoria Day Weekend to just after Labour Day Weekend.​
  • Beautiful walking path; runs across the entire park with an accessible seating area close to the beach
  • Residents with their seasonal parking pass (obtained through the Township of Oro-Medonte office) can park at no cost for the season ​​​*Parking pass must be visible within vehicle
  • No dogs are permitted in this park at any time – please leave dogs at home and not in vehicles​
  • Rentable pavilion available for both residents and non-residents *Hydro upon request
    • Pavilion​ renters of a large booking may submit a ​special request; permitting BBQ's with a maximum of a 20oz propane cylinder can be allowed as long as the BBQ stay no less than 15 feet outside of the structure
    • Booking requests can be made online through our online recreational software at www.oro-medonte.perfectmind.com
