Community Arena

Facility capacity: 400 persons on the floor surface

Facility Information:

  • Seasonal ice play – September to April (no summer ice available)
  • Public skating begins in October until the end of the season
  • Concession stand on-site during the ice season – available for catering hall events
  • 6 Dressing Rooms with showers​
  • Warm and cold viewing areas
  • Summer floor rental availability for sports (ie: ball hockey, lacrosse) and various uses.  Contact us to determine if your event would suit our facility.

Banquet Hall

Facility capacity: 200-250 persons

Facility Information:

  • Air conditioned
  • Wheelchair accessible with an elevator
  • Has basic kitchen facility for food preparation & serving ONLY
  • Excellent for hosting many types of events
    • Banquets
    • Anniversaries, Jack & Jill / Buck & Doe Events
    • Birthday parties (can be coordinated with public skating)
    • Business meetings, conferences, training sessions, etc.

Additional Requirements for Alcohol Events​​​

Looking to plan a special event serving alcoholic beverages? The T​ownship of Oro-Medonte provides regulations regarding the consumption of alcohol in the Banquet Hall. 

The Policy requires that all events serving alcohol must have the following:

  • Trained servers
  • A special occasion​​ permit from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • A completed operational plan (see special events manual)
  • A completed Municipal Alcohol Policy
  • Party Liability insurance in the amount of $5,000,000 naming the Township as additional insured

Meeting Room

The new meeting room at the Community Centre is located on the upper floor of the building across from the Banquet Hall.  It is carpeted and comfortably fits 12-15 people with a separate accessible washroom and overlooks the highway.

Banquet Hall Rental Pricing

Please note: The updated fees & charges by-law No. 2024-134 will come into effect January 1, 2025.

Hourly Rate: $53.25 / hour (minimum 2 hour rental)

Please be advised that additional fees may occur if setup is required.

Hourly Rate: $23.60 / hour (minimum 2 hour rental)

Please be advised that additional fees may occur if setup is required.

Full Day Rate: $296.60 / full day (maximum 8 hour rental)

Please be advised that additional fees may occur if setup is required.

Hourly Overage Rate: $59.35 (after maximum of 8 hours has been surpassed)

Full Day Rate: $533.95 / full day (maximum 8 hour rental)
