Township of Oro-Medonte reminding residents of alternative payment methods due to Canada Post strike and information regarding Notice of Public Hearings

Due to the current Canada Post strike, please note disruption to mail service is likely. Please see How to Pay Your Tax & Utility Bills | Township of Oro-Medonte to enroll in the Township’s pre-authorized payment program, information regarding  property tax and water payment due dates, and for details regarding payment options for tax and water bills including:

  • Pre-authorized payment plans
  • Online banking or telephone banking
  • At financial institutions 
  • By credit card
  • In-person or drop-box 
  • paysimply.ca (note: in-person at a post office using cash or debit currently not available due to Canada Post strike)

Please contact the Finance department at 705-487-2171 to determine the balance on your account.

Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) payment options are also available for vendors. If you are expecting a mailed cheque from the Township, please contact us to make arrangements for EFT payments. The Township is unable to make exceptions for late payments sent by mail.

Inspections

Oro-Medonte Fire & Emergency Services (OMFES) conducts inspections upon request; Property Sales (requires written permission from the property owner), Annual Inspection, Renewal of Mortgage, Special Occasion Permit, Open Air Burn Permit, and Adoption.

OMFES also conducts inspection upon complaint for inspection, the types of inspections are as follows: Suspected Risk to Life, Suspected Violation of Fire Code, and Direct Violation of Fire Code.
