Municipal Law Enforcement
The Township’s Municipal Law Enforcement Officers are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week, by contacting (705) 487-2171, and listening to the available options to have your call directed accordingly.
The Municipal Law Enforcement Division is responsible for the enforcement of the Township’s By-laws, proactively and through the investigation of complaints. Please note that Municipal Law does not respond to anonymous complaints. Complaints can be filed electronically, regular mail, over the phone or in person at the Administration Offices. The Municipal Law Enforcement Officers work with residents to obtain compliance with the Township By-laws. There is a strong educational component to their activities.
Municipal Law Enforcement is also responsible for enforcement of the Township’s Canine Control, Clean and Clear, Kennel Licensing and Parking By-laws, the issuance of Pool Fence Permits, and Sign Permits for signs that are not considered a structure under the Ontario Building Code.
